To become an Instagram influencer, you first need to cultivate an Instagram following. To do this, you need to post consistently, connect with people, and engage in conversations. Influencers aren’t born – they’re made.
Many young adults, particularly those in their late teens and early 20’s, consider social media influencers to be the next big thing. Social media influencers are people who have a large following on social media platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter and whose posts drive large waves of engagement. To influence others, you must understand that you ultimately sell yourself and your abilities. You do this by establishing your credibility, which is affected by the amount of influence you have.
Unlimited influence means you have the most credibility. Influencing others has the potential to make a good living, but it’s no easy task. It takes time and persistence. The key to success is expanding your profile and becoming as well-known in your field as possible. Through social media and other digital outlets, you increase your exposure, which, in turn, increases your influence.
Are you overwhelmed yet? Don’t worry. I will give you my tried and true tips to make you Instagram Famous!
There’s no step-by-step process to becoming an Instagram superstar. Your growth on Instagram is going to be different from everyone else’s. You might gain 100,000 followers in one month and then lose 10,000 the next. It’s totally normal.
Engagement on social media often comes down to your audience’s willingness to interact with your content. So, it’s worthwhile putting some effort into making your content popular. Here are some of my best practices for growing your following and increasing your engagement.
With 150 characters, you have a lot of space to make a great impression. Anything from a link to your website to a short sentence to a link to your LinkedIn profile can help. Many people use Instagram as a way to follow other accounts. So don’t be afraid to broadcast your following by directing people to follow you.
Your Instagram bio should be concise but informative. Tell potential followers who you are, what you’re about, and why they should care. If you’re going to include a link in your bio, use a link shortener like Bitly. Include a call to action, like “Want to save 10%? Click here” or “Follow us for daily inspiration.”
The ideal time would be to post on Instagram as soon as you wake up in a perfect world. But, we don’t live in a perfect world, and it’s impossible to predict when your posts will be most engaging. Instead of stressing over when to post, focus on a consistent posting schedule that works for you.
I can’t stress this enough; What works for one Instagram influencer may not work for another. Don’t just post when your audience is online. Set a posting schedule around when your audience is most likely to be online that fits within your schedule. For example, if you know your audience tends to be online from 9 am-5 pm, you may want to post during that time frame. Or, if you know your audience is glued to their phones scrolling through Instagram during their commute, you may want to post while they’re commuting.
By analyzing the data, you should figure out the ideal times that your followers are online to post your content at those times. If you see that the majority of your followers are online between 10 pm and 12 am, that’s probably a good time to post your content, too.
Experiment with posting times; just be consistent about it.
Instagram has become more than just a place to share photos with your friends and family. Since its launch in 2010, it’s blossomed into a platform for personal expression, community building, and business promotion. On Instagram, you can upload a wide variety of content, including text, photos, and videos.
Sharing content is an integral part of the Instagram experience. Over the years, the app has introduced many different ways of sharing content, including public, private, and direct messaging. The direct messaging feature allows users to send images, videos, or stories directly to another user. The Stories feature allows users to create quick videos that disappear after 24 hours.
Mixing it up on Instagram is a great way to engage and reach different audiences. While it’s hard to say exactly how many kinds of posts might work best for your account, one thing is for sure: the more content types you post, the more followers you’ll gain. And frankly, the more followers you gain, the more opportunities you’ll have to reach even more people.
Think back to the last time you scrolled through your feed and spotted a great photo. How did you react? Did you stop to read it? Did your stomach flip, or did you feel something that made you stop scrolling and read it?
A photo is worth a thousand words, but a great Instagram caption can make that photo worth a million. Captions are also an opportunity to provide more context or details about what you’re sharing, and they often allow you to add relevant hashtags or links to other content. If you’re sharing your video, captions can also help search engine optimization and increase your reach.
Instagram allows you to use a caption of up to 2,200 characters, which is twice the length of its Twitter counterpart. But if your caption reads more like an op-ed or an article, then try to adjust your tone accordingly. For example, if your caption describes an event, try to write in the first person as if you were there or as if the event were happening to you. If your caption story has a strong emotional component, try writing in a more conversational tone, as if you were talking to a friend.
